Ethics for Texas CPAs

9:09 AM By

http://www.cpethink.com - Hello there, my name is Tad Stephens and I am CEO at Cpethink.com, Ltd. We are a NASBA QAS Self-Study CPE sponsor and supplier as well as a Group Live: Internet Based sponsor which means we do webinars as well as self-study.

In this particular roughly 3 1/2 minute video we are going to explore ethics for Texas CPAs and Texas board approved ethics courses.

A Texas CPA ethics course is mandated by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy or the TSBPA every other year. Texas CPE Ethics Course Requirements state: Every licensee must complete a 4-hour ethics course approved by the Board pursuant to Board Rule 523.131. In addition, licensees must complete this 4-hour ethics course on a 2-year cycle (i.e., every other year). For your ease the board rule link is underneath in the video description.

The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy https://www.tsbpa.state.tx.us/ requires Texas ethics CPE courses to be approved by the board and to be counted as a Texas CPA ethics course the ethics course must be approved by the board before a CPA takes the course in order to get credit.

Texas CPA ethics courses are certainly presented by many providers and sponsors who have to be registered with the TSBPA. A CPA can use the boards CPE Sponsor Lookup page to see if a sponsor is registered with the board prior to taking a Texas CPA ethics course online. The link for this page is shown below in the video detail.

Texas CPE ethics webinars, courses, and videos must be approved by the board or they will not be counted towards the CPAs CPE ethics requirement.

You can locate more regarding Board Approved Ethics Courses and can use the document found at the link below when deciding on a course to enroll in.
